Resurrection
Resurrection is the proof that Jesus took away the sin of the world and death had no hold on Him. The resurrection is the reason we have fellowship with God and death has no hold on us. Without resurrection we would be left dead in sin. We are born in this world dead in Adam and our need is new life in Christ. If Jesus would not have been resurrected we would still be dead in sin, our sins taken away by His death on the cross but still dead. With His resurrection into new life we are not only forgiven but given His new resurrection life when born again of the Spirit. To believe only on the sacrifice of Christ is believing half a gospel.

I would say His Sacrifice on the cross is the reason we have fellowship with God. Our Creator "made-up" the idea that an innocent sacrifice would pay the penalty of disobedience, would remove His Wrath against mankind (a man). Because of the resurrection we HAVE Hope, bible verse- we are to be pitied above all others if our preaching is in vain (because the World hates us - it is actually Jesus' Spirit, Holy Spirit of Truth the people are despising, He who works thru us - sometimes). I am Not into being positive...BUT our spirits are perfected in Hebrews 12:23, sadly Much False Humility & Flatery is preached today. His Kids should realize we are more than conquerers...LIVE (participate in the divine nature 2Peter 1:4b) for Today, for tomorrow we die (and be with the Lord - thanks to His RESURRECTION). E, Eric
ReplyDeleteRomans 7:9 all of mankind understands Right from Wrong...we ALL chose Wrong, our spirits died. Isaiah 7:15 points out Only Christ Jesus will Choose the Right. IF your spirit has been "born again", then ye are currently 1/3 perfect - Heb. 12:23. Using an immature Soul and decaying flesh to post that comment...Nothing impure shall enter into heaven. Better be perfect (clothed in His Righteousnes, Sealed by Holy Spirit - 2Cor 1:21)

ReplyDelete"I would say His Sacrifice on the cross is the reason we have fellowship with God."
I would have to disagree with this statement. The cross was necessary to cleanse us of sin but it did not bring us into fellowship with God.
Everyone's sin was forgiven on the cross but not everyone has eternal life. There is still the unforgivable sin which is unbelief. Sins of personal action were forgiven but not the sin of unbelief which is still in our Adamic nature. God by His sovereignty takes us out of Adam and places us into Christ with His perfect nature.
Speaking of the Holy Spirit: (John 16:8 KJV) And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
-Of sin, because they believe not on me;-
Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
Fellowship with God comes by righteousness which is because Christ resurrected and ascended to the Father and after sent the Holy Spirit to resurrect our dead spirit. A person must be born again through resurrection in order to have fellowship with God. One must be perfect and without sin in order to have fellowship with God. Not 1/3 perfect.....100% perfect, as perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect Mt. 5:48.
(Heb 10:14 KJV) For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
He sanctified us by His will and we are saved by His will of entering into the New Covenant.
(Heb 10:8 KJV) Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
Those who are in the will of Him in His New Covenant through being born again are blessed with every spiritual blessing there is.
(Eph 1:3 KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ; According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of 'his will',
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
We are perfect and seated in Christ at the side of God the Father. (Col 3:1 KJV) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Those born again are already in heaven hidden in Christ and are awaiting the death of their bodies in which the principal of sin lives. (Rom 7:20 KJV) Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
And I agree with you that there is much false humility and flattery preached today.
I agree with latest post by Leanna,
ReplyDeleteClarifying my first post concerning "Fellowship".
His substitutionary death on the cross STARTED or Enabled the fellowship.
The Resurrection DOES activate the Fellowship.
Romans 7:9 everyone's spirit dies.
Gen 6:5, 8:23, Rom. 3:10-14+/- describes the depravity that ALL of mankinds soul, mind or heart has gone to.
All must suffer 1st death, hence the evidence of the wicked depravity of our soul.
However,
When our once dead spirit is "born again", everlasting life, our spirits are PERFECTED - Heb. 12:23.
ALL things become New (for our Soul). By the renewing of our minds...renewing SHOULD occur because our Soul can still please the Flesh Nature OR be led by Holy Spirit and please Our Creator (this is a continued struggle until we suffer the 1st death).
Holy Spirit, or Spirit of Truth, or Counselor guides our resurrected, perfected, born again spirits. - Fellowship.
WE can Finally DO what Our Creator created us to do...IF our Soul obeys Holy Spirit & Not the flesh nature.
BONUS -
...for Christ Jesus would have it that none should perish.
...it is as though He is making His plea thru Us.
...Matt 3:2 & 4:17 has J.Baptist & Jesus repeatedly preaching REPENTANCE.
...let's FOLLOW the Leader,
Eric
1John 4:10 - His LOVE
Thank you for clarifying this. Unfortunately, most Christians are not taught their position in Christ and struggle greatly with either guilt or frustration caused by trying to live the Christian life.
ReplyDeleteWe live this life the same way in which we trusted Christ when first born again, by faith. However, many new Christians are immediately put back under the Law by the teachings of others and that is where the battle between flesh and Spirit begin.
The Law never changes. It always demands perfection. We were not able able to live up to its demands before becoming Christians nor can we after. Its intent and purpose is always to kill any hope we have in ourselves and turn us to trusting the only one who IS perfect, Jesus Christ.
Many think that once they become Christian they can now live up to the Law which was the problem with the Galatians.
(Gal 3:1 KJV) O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
They believe they have the power within themselves (the flesh) to do what is right in God's eyes. When they feel they have accomplished such then they begin demanding others do the same putting not only themselves back under the Law but also those with whom they come in contact.
Instead of living by faith and renewing their minds with the reality of their position in Christ and His righteousness given us as a gift they focus their minds on the Law and that which the Law requires. By doing this it guarantee failure to live the Christian life.
No one can live Christ's life. He lives His life in us.

ReplyDeletesee her previous post addressing much, like... this blindly promoted bible verse -->
"Now that you have been freed from the law why are you placing yourself back under it".
Eric's (Holy Spirit of Truth) SOLUTIONs -
(1) For when I boast, I boast in the Lord.
Example:
(1a) I tell other's with gratitude & amazement that Our Creator LOVES me (1John 4:10).
Opposite:
(1b) Nearly all teachers are "announcing" how they LOVE God & people.
(2) Work out thy salvation with fear-N-trembling (ponder it, how it came about, what God did, what Eric did, why it is guaranteed, etc).
WHOM in church can stand up and teach Heb. 5 last bible verse (a measurement of maturity).
(2a) as Leanna commented, we ought to realize our current "position In Christ".
(3) From the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks (a favorite discipleship verse of mine).
We ought to examine ourselves...
giving glory to God in our statements OR
boasting in our morality (placed back under law).
deep subject, difficult to type several perspectives to keep in mind.
Iron-Sharpens-Iron

The following is KEY for maturing
"Rightly divide the word of Truth"...
Parts of bible addresses -
SALVATION (moving from enemy to a child)
DISCIPLESHIP (Eartly life after salvation)
also,
spirit (was dead, now perfected - Rom. 7:9 & Heb. 12:23)
soul, mind or heart (was depraved, now all things made New plus re-newing of mind SHOULD occur daily - Gen. 6:5, 8:23 & 1Cor. 3:10-15).
flesh or flesh nature (it is decaying physically and it's desires SHOULD be put to death daily...as Paul said I die daily).
deep stuff - E
